Corey's local upbringing and education from Iolani School and the University of Hawaii have pushed him to always set high standards for himself. He has acquired over 12 years of management experience in both the public and private sectors. Most recently, Corey was the co-owner of Waimanalo Laundry Services and turned a modest self-service laundromat into a thriving and prosperous full service laundry business servicing clientele from Hawaii Kai to Lanikai. After 3 years and watching the fruits of his labor develop, Corey felt it was time to pursue another lifetime ambition, real estate.
Corey has known the Principal Broker of Island, REALTORS®, Scott Fujiwara, for over 30 years. Scott's devotion to real estate, mentorship, and years of experience was the reason Corey decided to join the real estate team of Island, REALTORS®. Obtaining wealth through real estate has always been an ambition of Corey's. The opportunity and challenge to work and help people with their real estate needs is extremely fulfilling. Corey's ability to work with people, being a good listener and communicator, business ownership experience, and being able to solve problems have made the transition to real estate seamless as his clients reap the same successes when buying or selling their property with Corey.
In Corey's first year in real estate, he was nominated for the Honolulu Board of REALTORS® Newcomer of the Year award. The following year, he was nominated for the prestigious People's Choice award. When Corey is not negotiating a real estate transaction, you'll find him on the golf course. Although he is a self taught golfer, Corey understands the benefits of working with professionals. After more than 16 years of golfing, Corey has decided to pair himself with a local PGA Teaching Pro, Reagan Lee. Lessons learned with the golf pro not only improved his swing, but his overall love of the game.
